Excheck and VGS System   Many companies specialize in making tools, leaving the casting to others in the Die Cast Industry. These tool-makers face a common problem pertaining to Quality Assurance: Without running an enormous number of parts one cannot effectively implement Statistical Process Control (SPC), a proven method for comparison of a product's actual characteristics with those specified by the customer. Furthermore, CMM machines can be painfully slow. How then does one ensure quality in a reasonable time at a reasonable cost? Briefly put, EXCO has developed and implemented a method involving precise measurement of our machine tools which has reduced our inspection times 70% and have allowed for in-process inspection instead of post-process inspection.
